Pie
1 lb ground round beef - i used 1 tiub ramly minced beef
1 onion, chopped (I use a small onion)
2 cloves garlic, minced
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1 (15 ounce) can cooked diced carrots (I only use half)- i substitute to capsicum, brocolli & mixed vege

Gravy
3-4 tablespoons butter
3-4 tablespoons flour
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can beef broth

Potato topping
8 small russet potatoes
3 tablespoons butter, to taste
3 tablespoons sour cream (I use heaping) - i mix my own natural flavor yogurt & lemon juice
1/4 cup milk, to taste
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste

Method
1.Preheat oven to 400. - 200C on our oven
2.Peel and dice potatoes and cook in boiling salted water until tender.
3.In a large skillet, brown beef, onions and garlic.
4.Drain fat if necessary.
5.Add carrots, salt and pepper.
6.In small pan whisk butter and flour together to make a roux.
7.Add beef broth and cook until thickened.
8.Add the gravy to the beef mixture.
9.Transfer to a greased casserole dish.
10.When potatoes are tender, drain and mash with butter, sour cream, milk, salt and pepper.
11.Spread potatoes on top of beef mixture and bake until potatoes are golden on top, 15-20 minutes.

Yorkshire Pudding Recipe

1 cup plain flour
1 cup eggs - bout 3 eggs
1 cup milk

Preheat the oven to hot (425F/220C/Gas 7)
Put a teaspoonful of oil or dripping in each of several muffin tins or, to be truly Yorkshire, a couple of tablespoonsful in a larger roasting tin and place in the oven until the fat is really hot and beginning to smoke. Meanwhile combine the rest of the ingredients and beat to form a batter of the consistency of double cream.
If you wish you can add mixed dried herbs to add a savoury flavour.
When the fat is smoking take the tin out of the oven and place it over a low light so that it doesn't cool as you add the batter.
Pour in the batter If you're using muffin tins don't over fill.
Remember that the puddings will rise and puff up.
Put the tin back into the top of the oven as soon as possible and leave for about 20-25 minutes by which time they will be puffed up and crisp.
**nice to serve it with roast chicken/beef as the gravy that u pour on the pudding will make it more tastier
