my lady luck shines again as this time around me got 2 tix to watch oliver the musical at genting. hhihihihihhi though memula itu agak half-hearted nak pegi coz bilik all fully-booked, then my sis declined to join me last minute tau2 gagah je pegi sensowang bcoz something happenned & I was so pissed off. hahahha bahaya kan pompuan nih will do anything once dah sakit ati.

neway it was a superb show just like in the tv but this is a cut-short & much more entertaining + totally musical with less talk! agak lain la compared to the sound of music ari tu! abaden me luv it soo much! reminds me of ol' times

cumanya agak sedih coz i didn't get to watch till the end sebab have to catch for the cable car that ends at 11pm ada plak tersadai kat genting yg maha sejuk itu! 2 thumbs up & gratitude to genting & all the sponsors for the good food & the show. as for me kalu ada next invitation tak buat dah kot drive up & down genting sensowang itu will amik bilik & naik bas je lah lagi selamat!

Genting proudly brings to you Oliver! The Musical, a Charles Dickens masterpiece which is set to be the biggest ever musical staged at Genting - City of Entertainment. The musical will showcase wonderful music with breathtaking sets and a cast of outstanding performers.

The enchanting tale begins in a dank workhouse in Victorian England, where the lonely orphan Oliver slaves away with all the other children for the cruel Mr. Bumble. Oliver's fate is jeopardised when he asks for some more food! Seeing this as an act of defiance, the callous Mr. Bumble decides to sell Oliver to anyone who will take the small child from him.

Fate has been unkind to Oliver after Mr. Bumble sells him off and he decides to run away and escape his tormentors. He is later befriended by a cheeky street urchin and begins to live with a group of young pickpockets led by the haggard Fagin. Oliver is made to pick pockets and is caught and sentenced, but it is here where he meets the kindly Mr. Brownlow and Oliver's future suddenly takes an unexpected turn!

Oliver! The Musical was originally written by Lionel Bart, and first made into a film in 1968. It won an Oscar for Best Picture. The show has since been widely been acclaimed as one of the best musicals ever written!
